A’Nya Marshburn has grown up in Bluffton, SC since she was 3. She received two Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A’Nya has always worked with children with special needs, first as a dance assistant for a dance without limits class at Bluffton School of Dance. Throughout her college years, A’Nya became a registered behavior technician, doing ABA therapy with children on the spectrum. In 2021, A’Nya’s godson was diagnosed with ASD and this encouraged A’Nya to reach out to the Lowcountry Autism Foundation to find support and resources for him. Since then, she has stayed connected with LAF and eventually transitioned to working with LAF.
After A’Nya graduated, she found a home at the Lowcountry Autism Foundation as Community Program Manager. Within this position, A’Nya enjoys providing support and assistance to families and advocating for their rights. She is excited to continue growing programs and expanding the reach of LAF.
When A’Nya is not working at LAF, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading, or trying new recipes.
