MUSIC THERAPY
Jennifer Gossett, MT-BC, NMT, NICU-MT is a board certified music therapist and has practiced in the Charleston area since 2012. She received her music therapy training at Charleston Southern University, following a 15 year career as a music educator in public and private schools. Jennifer's passion for working with children with diagnoses such as autism and Down Syndrome is what drew her to the music therapy field, and she opened Noteworthy Music Therapy LLC in 2013. Noteworthy's focus has always been in making music with neurodiverse children, children with rare genetic conditions and those with multiple/severe disabilities, both in special education classrooms and in the home environment. Music is a powerful tool for connecting with others, communicating, and regulating our emotions, and Jennifer feels honored every day to bring music into the lives of special children. She lives in Hanahan with her husband, Kevin, who is also a music teacher, and they are the proud parents of young adults Andrew and Athena (also musicians!).
